LINCOLN AVE HOME
ALTADENA
The Lincoln Ave. project came to us as a result of the recent LA Wildfires. Tragically, the homeowner, Gerald, lost everything in the fires. In moments like this, we all turn to family for help and fortunately for Gerald, the Tyson Family quickly sprung to action to help in any way they can. Having worked with the Tyson family, in previous and current projects, they entrusted our team to help them design and develop a path to help Gerald Rebuild his home.
After numerous trips to and conversations with LA County Planning and Building Departments, we were able to determine a path to rebuild that would meet Gerald’s needs and provide him additional amenities.
The result is a modest 3 bedroom 3 bath single family home with an attached 650 sf ADU. The design ties itself into the surrounding context and acknowledges the importance of the neighboring Altadena Community Garden. Providing garden views to the larger community garden and large floor to ceiling windows in the north that look towards the Angeles Forest mountains. Gerald and the Tyson Family have deep rooted ties to the Altadena/ Pasadena community and helping them through this process has been very rewarding.
